Can We Make a Date with Tim Ferriss Happen?

January 21, 2025

"If I could choose one person in the world to be my partner, I would choose Tim Ferriss."

This thought passes through my mind over lunch. Unlike most passing thoughts, I don’t let this one go. Instead, I turn it into a game—an experiment in boldness, serendipity, and collective magic.

"Why?" you might ask.

Because there are qualities that I value deeply in a partner. Tim Ferriss is one of the rare people I know who has actively cultivated those qualities. And I know what that kind of work takes—because I’ve done it myself.

Seven years ago, my friend H sent me a podcast episode that deeply impacted her. I was skeptical—I wasn’t into “these kinds of podcasts.” But I listened. It was an interview with Tim Ferriss, discussing empathy with Aubrey Marcus.

It was the first time in my life I had heard of empathy. I didn’t fully understand it, even after the episode. But I sensed it was something worth learning. Then, at the very end, Tim wrapped up the conversation with:

“Love and a sense of peace come from acceptance rather than understanding.”

That one sentence hit me at my core. I burst into tears. Something deep in me shifted. I woke up. And I started a journey that led me to where I am today.

H and I made a promise that one day, we’d go to Austin to thank Tim in person.

Now, H has moved to Austin. And I am here—to fulfill that promise, to express my gratitude, and to offer a small gift to Tim, closing this seven-year circle.

But That’s Not All.

That was the story of the Safa from seven years ago.

The Safa standing here at SXSW today is opening a brand-new chapter.

I am committed to connecting with Tim and going on a date with him while I am in Austin ( by March 10th in the afternoon), because I believe we are a great match and we can create things together that each cannot create alone.

I have already done what it takes to be in the right place at the right time. I have taken consistent action and countless miracles happened on the way to bring me to this point. My story of this 45-day journey has already inspired so many people to make bold choices, take their dreams seriously, turn their biggest desires into playful games, and start doing the things they thought were impossible.

This journey has become bigger than me going on a date with Tim Ferriss. Now, it’s about when we go all-in on what we want, when we invite others into the journey, and when we make it a game to play, reality bends.

And now, I’m inviting you to be part of this experiment.

SXSW is where the magic happens and the impossible becomes possible. Let’s make this happen—together.

I have four days in Austin. The question is: Can we, through the power of collective support, turn this idea into reality?

If you have a connection, an idea, or a way to make this happen, drop me a message and share this on social media.

Would you join me?
